The University of Sargodha (UOS) has become the first institute in Pakistan to offer a Ph.D. program on Seerat-un-Nabi Peace be upon him (PBUH).
The UOS has already submitted two PC-1s to the Planning Commission of Pakistan. One of the PC-1s envisions the establishment of the Sargodha Institute of Muslim Civilization while the other is aimed at strengthening the university’s Ph.D. programs in the Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities.
Both the initiatives will highlight the diverse aspects of Islamic civilization and culture and will promote research on Islam through balanced dialogues across the world to enable students to learn about Islamic ideology and culture.
