New Lockdown Restrictions Forced in New York Following Corona Outbreak

Partial lockdown has been reinstated across nine neighborhoods in New York, following the recent surge in Coronavirus infection rates.

The partial reversal of the lockdown in New York has been brought into practice as the number of cases in the US continued to rise. The number of total coronavirus cases has jumped to 476K after the dramatic recent increase in daily cases. The country has now reported 7.7M cases with over 214K dead.

New York City, which has recorded more coronavirus cases than any other US city, had eased its virus prevention protocols as its infection rates improved. But with positive test rates rising in some areas, safety protocols has been brought back into action. Various areas of Brooklyn have been termed as “red zone” for virus exposure, having the stores ordered shut in the corresponding areas.

Anyone to roam around in 5 boroughs of New York without a mask will be fined a ticket worth 100 Dollars. Barber shops of Brooklyn have also been instructed to remain closed for the time being. Grocery stores would remain functional across New York.
