DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Spokesperson of Tehrik e Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP) faction Jamaat Ul Ahrar (JUA) has surrendered himself to security forces on Monday.
Security officials said Asad Mansoor surrendered in Dera Ismail Khan, three weeks ago.
Earlier, in 2017 Former spokesperson for Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and commander of TTP’s breakaway faction, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JUA), Ehsanullah Ehsan had also surrendered to security forces.
Omar Khalid Khorsani and other 8 terrorist commanders separated from the TTP and formed a new group by the name of Jamaat Ul Ahrar after the selection of Mullah Fazal Ullah as the new chief of TTP.
In October 2017, Omar Khalid Khorsani, chief of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar (JUA) was also reportedly killed in a drone strike in Afghanistan’s Paktia province.
Since 2014, This terrorist group (JUA) has been involved in more than 100 terrorist attacks in Pakistan.
