ISLAMABAD: Three alleged suicide bombers blew themselves up when security forces raided their hideout in Dera Ghazi Khan area of Punjab province.
According to Pakistan media, security personnel carried out a raid in the mountainous area of Chabri in DG Khan.
Reportedly, an encounter with the terrorists ensured.
During the encounter, the three suspected terrorists blew themselves up.
Media reports said that the raid was conducted after yesterday’s incident wherein unknown attacker had attacked a police check-post.
A policeman had been injured in the attack.
The attackers had fled after the ancient into the tribal area of the district.
The identity of the accused cannot be ascertained immediately.
DG Khan is a border district of Punjab. In the past, members of sectarians outfits and militants have been active in the districts especially its tribal areas.
Police and law enforcement agencies especially Punjab Ranger routinely carry out search operations and raids in different areas of the district for arresting.
