President Brooklyn Borough Eric Adams organized an event to honor the organizations and the volunteers that worked tirelessly to overcome the damage caused by the novel Covid-19 in New York.
The biggest Muslim organization active in the United States ICNA Relief, Pakistani American Youth Organization, Council of People’s Organization, American Council of Minority Women and other prominent social organizations along with their leaders and volunteers were invited to the event where they were awarded with certificated and shields for the display of excellence in desperate times.
Addressing on the occasion, Eric Adams stated that New York was among the states that was the most affected by the virus but the way Pakistani community stepped up to overcome the situation was exemplary. He further added that the contribution of the community in tough times would be remembered for times to come.
The attendees of the event adhered to the safety precautions for the novel virus and had their face masks on for the occasion.
