Security forces identified 300 people and arrest 100, involved in Capitol Hill attack

While armed protests is expected on Newly elected President Oath ceremony.


Security forces have identified 300 people involved in Capitol Hill attack in US. Acting Attorney General says 300 people involved in the attack have been identified, and 140,000 videos and photos of the attack on Congress have been collected.

According to the news agency, 98 cases have been registered under other crimes including riots and assault.
FBI officials say 100 people have been arrested in connection with Capitol Hill attack.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said the arrests included former officials from army and other administrative departments. U.S. media say members of Congress were charged with conspiracy to commit murder during the attack.

Meanwhile, A gunman has been arrested at a checkpoint near parliament in US capital, Washington. According to the news agency, a pistol and more than 500 rounds and magazines were recovered from the arrested person at check post near Capitol Hill.

The gunman was trying to pass through a checkpoint on a fake permit while armed protests is expected to provoke on Newly elected US President Joe Biden’s Oath ceremony.

Strict security measures have been put in place across the US and situation in D.C. is like a lockdown.
