Renown Religious scholar Allama Zamir Akhter Naqvi Passes away

Well known Shia Religious scholar , professor, preacher, writer, Poet, Allama Dr. Syed Zameer Akhter Naqvi passes away in  Karachi  at sunday morning.    According to personal assistant of Allama Dr. Syed Zameer Akhter Naqvi  he was shifted to Aga Khan University Hospital last night due to illness on Sunday Morning.  He suffered a heart attack on early morning Sunday and passed away during treatment in Hospital.

His body is being taken to the Ancholi Imambargah where his funeral prayers will be held after maghribain.

Allama Naqvi was born on March 24, 1944 in India’s Lucknow. His birth name was Zameer Hasan. In 1967, he migrated to Pakistan and permanently settled in Karachi. He studied at the Hussainabad School (matric) and Government Jubilee College, Lucknow, India (inter). Allama Zameer Akhtar Naqvi received his graduate degree at the “Shia College Lucknow”

He authored more than 300 books in various fields, including literature, culture, religion, philosophy, logic, journalism, sociology, science, oratory, and language. He was also known for lectures he gave on topics such as science, philosophy and history.

He was the president of the Mir Anees Academy and editor-in-chief of quarterly magazine  Al-Qalam.

According to the spokes person , Governor Sindh  pays condolences to his family on the dismissal of  Allama Dr. Syed Zamir Akhter Naqvi and supplicates   for his  forgiveness .
