SHARJAH: Peshawar Zalmi’s skipper Daren Sammy got injured during the game against Quetta Gladiators last night in Sharjah.
He received a knee injury while bowling his third over of the spell, he had already taken two key wickets of Quetta.
According to Zalmi management, he was sent for an MRI report after the match.
A decision on his inclusion in the next game will be taken after the medical reports.
Zalmi captain told in the post-match press conference that he was hopeful he could play rest of the games.
“I always intended to bat today, that’s why I didn’t go to the MRI already. I’m going to go for an MRI scan tonight, and I think my knee has given way. I’m not sure yet, so hopefully, I can take part in PSL 2018. We’ll see what the scan shows.”
However, a positive sign for Peshawar as he came to bat, and won an almost impossible game in just 4 balls he faced, all on one leg.
