DUBAI: After a successful run in the series against New Zealand, young middle-order batsman Babar Azam has topped MRF Tyres ICC Player Rankings for T20I Batsmen.
Babar was the leading run-scorer in the series with 109 runs in three matches.
He jumped 11 places, by-passing Australia’s Aaron Finch by two points. He has claimed the number 1 spot for the first time.

Shadab Khan was the best bowler of NZ series with five wickets in 3 matches. His performance helped him to raise 14 places from 28th to 14th spot.
Fast bowler Mohammad Amir has also made an impressive gain of 19 places and now sits in 27th position after bagging three wickets.
