A debate On Sunday saw the presidential candidates of Queens borough of New York come head to head in order to campaign for the elections ahead.
The debate was organized by the primary organization of Pakistani community, American Pakistan Advocacy group, in collaboration with the organization for Bangladeshi community, Community Alliance Group.
Senator John Liu came in as the special guest to observe the event. Senator, on this occasion, revealed that the accommodation in New York has gotten expensive in recent times, particularly for the students. Stating facts, he said that over 140,000 students reside without proper accommodation in New York, thus acquiring about the strategies the candidates possess in order to resolve the corresponding issue.
Primary strategies were laid down by the candidates. Presidential candidate for Queens borough Anthony Miranda and James Quinn pledged to the public that they would serve their part primarily to help the people.
President American Pakistan Advocacy Group Ali Rasheed urged the Pakistan community to have their say in the elections and put out maximum involvement in American politics.
The elections for the presidential seat on New York Queens borough is set to take place on the 24th of March.
