Lynn’s Medical Reports Say He Needs No Surgery

BRISBANE: The medical report for Australian batsman Chris Lynn has been released and it suggests that the swashbuckling opener does not need a surgery for his injury.

Lynn was supposed to join Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) franchise Lahore Qalandar on Thursday, but the injury happened.

He got his right shoulder dislocated in Wednesday’s final of the trans-Tasman T20 series against New Zealand.

Lynn’s manager, Stephen Atkinson, who said the batsman had received positive news from doctors after seeing specialists in Brisbane today.

“Chris got a positive result from the doctors who said he will not need surgery,” Atkinson said, according to a News Corp report.

“Chris is disappointed at missing the Pakistan Super League but he will be making every effort to play in the Indian Premier League and, if selected, the five one-dayers for Australia in England in June.”

On the other hand, Qalandars management is still hopeful for his return in the knockout stages of the tournament. They have still not announced his permanent cover.

However, West Indian batsman Dinesh Ramdin will serve as his immediate cover for league matches.
