Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Syed Ali Geelani urged the Muslims across the globe to help “save our souls” from “the biggest genocide” India is about to launch in occupied Kashmir.
Ali Gilani said if we all die and you kept quite you will be answerable to Allah the Magnificent.
Syed Ali Gilani appealed the Kashmiri people particularly youth that they have to be ready for a long and tough struggle as the oppressor seems to be hell-bent upon testing their nerves.
He said that recent geopolitical scenario and positive gestures by world leaders have once again negated Indian narrative of bilateralism and that Kashmir is its internal matter.
Recent deployment of 35 thousand Indian army has increased tensions following India’s announcement that it was sending thousands of more troops to the region, raising fears in Kashmir that New Delhi is planning to scrap an Indian constitutional provision that disallows Indians to buy land in the Muslim-majority region.
An estimated 700,000 soldiers have been deployed by India in the valley and along the de facto border with Pakistan (called the Line of Control or LoC), making Kashmir one of the world’s most militarised regions.
Since 1989, about 70,000 people, mostly civilians, have died in India-administered Kashmir, monitoring groups say.
