Free flu vaccination camp at Coney Island

Vaccination camp was organized in collaboration with American-Pakistani Public Affairs Committee (APPAC) and ICNA Relief, an organization of Pakistani-Americans, to administer free flu vaccines to citizens. Dozens of people assisted from vaccine.

The second wave of corona virus has wreaked havoc across US. In view of uprising of corona virus cases, American Doctors Association in Brooklyn, APNA, APPAC and ICNA Relief jointly organized a medical camp on Coney Island Avenue.

Talking to media on the event, Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, President-elect of American Doctors Association of New York and Asad Chaudhry, a member of APPAC, said that it is important to get flu vaccine to prevent against corona virus. The flu vaccines reduce chances of corona virus infection also.

Dr. Muhammad Hassan Dogar and ICNA Relief member Atif-ur-Rehman were also present at vaccination camp to provide medical facilities. Flu vaccine not only protects against COVID-19 but also against influenza, he added. We also provide free coronavirus vaccine soon after this flu vaccine.

Attendees at camp strictly followed COVID-19 virus prevention SOPs. Dozens of people benefited from flu vaccine. People of all communities, assisted through free flu vaccines regardless of race or religion, and also camp provides free hand sanitizers.
