When they come out? There will be a bloodbath,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Imran Khan&#8217;s warning that echoed during his much-anticipated address to the 74th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York, came hours after the U.S. pressed New Delhi to lift weeks-long clampdown in the disputed valley.<\/p>\n<p>Moreover, The prime minister also discussed the Kashmir situation during a meeting with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister briefed him on the\u00a0 Curfew and Communications blackout\u00a0 imposed in Kashmir which have now been in place for 54 days, saying such &#8220;draconian lock-down&#8221; had no parallel in recent history.<\/p>\n<p>Stressing the need for the restrictions to be lifted immediately,\u00a0 Imran Khan\u00a0 once again conveyed Pakistan\u2019s rejection of India&#8217;s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5.<\/p>\n<p>He underlined that India\u2019s recent actions represented &#8220;a new chapter of intensified human rights abuses&#8221; and noted that the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights had comprehensively documented previous human rights violations by India in Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The prime minister highlighted the risks to regional peace and security that arose from India\u2019s illegal and irresponsible actions,&#8221; the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>The UN chief during the meeting reiterated his deep concern over the human rights and humanitarian situation in occupied Kashmir, the press release said.<\/p>\n<p>Guterres said that he would &#8220;remain engaged on the issue&#8221; and conveyed that his offer to help facilitate a peaceful solution of the Kashmir issue continued to stand.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>While Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi \u00a0avoided any mention of Kashmir \u00a0in his speech at the\u00a0 United Nations\u00a0 General Assembly, Pakistan&#8217;s Prime Minister launched an extraordinary attack on his Indian counterpart, warning of a &#8220;bloodbath&#8221; in the disputed region.
