{"id":9890,"date":"2019-09-25T16:38:13","date_gmt":"2019-09-25T11:38:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=9890"},"modified":"2019-09-25T16:38:42","modified_gmt":"2019-09-25T11:38:42","slug":"9890-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/9890","title":{"rendered":"China Launches Satellite for Environmental Analysis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>China on Wednesday launched a new satellite into space to gauge Earth&#8217;s environment from above.<\/p>\n<p>Aboard a carrier rocket, the satellite was launched the at 8:54 a.m. local time (0054GMT) from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China, Xinhua news agency reported.<\/p>\n<p>The satellite, named Yunhai-1 02, will be used for &#8220;detecting the atmospheric and marine environment and space environment, as well as disaster control and other scientific experiments&#8221;, the report said.<\/p>\n<p>It added that the satellite and carrier rocket had been developed by China\u2019s Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology.<\/p>\n<p>Last Monday, China sent two more satellites into space as part of its indigenous BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS) which offers coverage and navigation services to clients in the Asia-Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, China also launched its first amphibious assault ship of the Chinese People&#8217;s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy in Shanghai.<\/p>\n<p>The ship has a \u201cstrong capacity in amphibious operations and performing a variety of tasks\u201d, according to the media report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>China on Wednesday launched a new satellite into space to gauge Earth&#8217;s environment from above.
