{"id":9779,"date":"2019-09-24T11:57:09","date_gmt":"2019-09-24T06:57:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=9779"},"modified":"2019-09-24T14:00:00","modified_gmt":"2019-09-24T09:00:00","slug":"12-year-old-girl-forced-to-remove-hijab-by-air-canada","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/9779","title":{"rendered":"Air Canada Forced 12-Year-Old Girl to Remove Hijab"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"story-block\">\n<p>Air Canada has left a young girl feeling \u201cdegraded\u201d after forcing her to remove her hijab in view of other passengers last month.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"story-block\">\n<p>12 year old Californian girl, Fatima Abderahman was waiting in line to board her flight to Toronto on Aug. 1 when an Air Canada agent approached her and demanded she remove the religious head covering, according to the Council on American-Islamic Relations.<\/p>\n<p>The young girl explained that she wears the head scarf for religious reasons and repeatedly requested for a private screening area.
