An American man has drowned while proposing to his girlfriend underwater on holiday in Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Steven Weber and his girlfriend, Kenesha Antoine, were staying in a submerged cabin at the Manta Resort, off Pemba Island.<\/p>\n

The woman has paid a heartbreaking tribute to her boyfriend, Kenesha Antoine posted a video on Facebook of her boyfriend, Steven Weber, swimming up to the window of their underwater room at the Manta Resort on Pemba Island.<\/p>\n

In the video, wearing goggles and flippers, he held a note against the cabin’s glass window as Ms Antoine watched on from within.<\/p>\n

His note read: “I can’t hold my breath long enough to tell you everything I love about you. But\u2026 everything I love about you, I love more every day!”<\/p>\n

Mr Weber wrote “I can’t hold my breath long” in his proposal note<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Louisiana man flips the page to show the message \u201cWill you marry me?\u201d before pulling out an engagement ring box.<\/p>\n

Antoine posted on Facebook that Weber \u201cnever emerged from those depths\u201d.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
