{"id":9506,"date":"2019-09-19T09:37:32","date_gmt":"2019-09-19T04:37:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=9506"},"modified":"2019-09-19T09:49:21","modified_gmt":"2019-09-19T04:49:21","slug":"pakistan-refuses-indian-pm-modis-request-to-use-airspace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/9506","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan Refuses Indian PM Modi\u2019s Request to Fly Over its Airspace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pakistan refused a request \u00a0from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to use its airspace on a flight to Germany,<\/p>\n<p>Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the decision has been made &#8220;keeping in view the situation in occupied Kashmir&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>He said the Indian high commissioner in Islamabad had been informed of Pakistan\u2019s decision to not allow Modi\u2019s aeroplane \u2013 the VIP jet Air India One \u2013 to fly over the country.<\/p>\n<p>Modi is scheduled to leave for the US early Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Indian government had formally submitted a request last week for the use of Pakistani airspace following which Pakistan looked into calling a high-level advisory meeting on the matter, according to diplomatic sources.<\/p>\n<p>As per international law, the sources had said, Pakistan is bound to grant permission to the Indian premier.
