Seven died, while two are seriously injured,&#8221; Juan Carlos Ganan, the commander of firefighters in the area, told.<\/p>\n<p>The third person injured was a child on the ground in the area where the plane crashed, Ganan\u00a0 adding, firefighters were trying to stop fuel leaking from the aircraft.<\/p>\n<p>The airplane crashed only minutes after taking off while on its way to Lopez de Micay, a rural municipality in the Pacific region of Cauca.<\/p>\n<p>The country\u2019s civil aviation authority almost immediately began investigating the causes of the fatal crash.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the crash was not known and an investigation was under way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0At least seven people were killed and another two injured when a small plane crashed in southwestern Colombia on Sunday,.
