{"id":9318,"date":"2019-09-15T10:50:38","date_gmt":"2019-09-15T05:50:38","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=9318"},"modified":"2019-09-15T10:51:47","modified_gmt":"2019-09-15T05:51:47","slug":"houthi-drone-attacks-spark-fires-at-saudi-aramco-oil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/9318","title":{"rendered":"Houthi Drone Attacks spark Fires at Saudi ARAMCO oil"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Drone attacks claimed by Yemen&#8217;s Houthi rebels have caused fires at two major facilities run by Saudi Aramco, according to the \u00a0interior ministry .<\/p>\n<p>Huge palls of smoke rose into the sky after the pre-dawn attacks on Abqaiq and Khurais, two major Aramco facilities in eastern Saudi Arabia as the state-owned giant prepares for a much-anticipated stock listing.<\/p>\n<p>Houthi rebels, who have been waging a five-year war with Saudi led forces in their Yemeni homeland, claimed responsibility for the \u201cmassive offensive operation\u201d and said 10\u00a0 drones were used in the \u201cbombing\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The attacks highlight how the increasingly advanced weaponry of the Iran-linked Houthi rebels \u2014 from ballistic missiles to unmanned drones \u2014 poses a serious threat to oil installations in Saudi Arabia, the world\u2019s top crude exporter.<\/p>\n<p>Interior ministry spokesman Mansour al-Turki said the two fires have been controlled and\u00a0 there were no casualties.
