Abdul Kahllq\u00a0 a kidney patient\u00a0 said, adding\u00a0 &#8220;how can i show my kidneys to them, In seven years I have come here for the dialysis\u00a0 but it&#8217;s never been like this before.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Even medical staffs reported\u00a0 they are having troubles\u00a0 in getting for duty. they only can come to the hospitals through ambulance , Indian troops\u00a0 \u00a0are not accepting their medical and ID cards.<\/p>\n<p>One official, who asked to remain anonymous, told <em>\u00a0<\/em>that the number of surgeries performed on daily basis is down by 40 to 60 per cent in majority of the hospitals in Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have been told to put the routine surgeries on hold as there are fears of people getting critical injuries if protests erupts against the 5 August decision,\u201d the official in the SMHS hospital tells.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors argue that the shift to focus on emergency services is to avert deaths, fearing mass casualties from ongoing protests against India&#8217;s 5 August decision to revoke the territory\u2019s special status.<\/p>\n<p>Situation is getting worsen, as Medicine sellers say with disruptions to the internet and reliable phone services, they have not been able to place new orders in weeks., causing severe shortage of\u00a0 life saving medicines in the valley.<\/p>\n<p>Several\u00a0 protesters were injured in clashes with Indian troops but few\u00a0 are going to hospitals.
