As Indian forces further tightened the strict clampdown in held Kashmir ahead of its independence day<\/p>\n

Pakistan and on both sides of the Line of Control, observed the Indian Independence Day as a black day to register a strong protest against the continued forced illegal occupation of a large part of the Jammu and Kashmir State by India.<\/p>\n

Pakistan expressed solidarity with the people of the disputed territory in the wake of the humanitarian crisis that has developed there following 10 consecutive days of curfew and communications blockade.<\/p>\n

The black day was observed by flying the national flag at half-mast and staging rallies across the country and was marked with anti-India protest rallies in all small and major towns across the country and liberated territory of Pakistan administered Kashmir.<\/div>\n
