{"id":7959,"date":"2019-08-14T11:32:28","date_gmt":"2019-08-14T06:32:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=7959"},"modified":"2019-08-14T11:32:28","modified_gmt":"2019-08-14T06:32:28","slug":"hong-kong-airport-reopens-after-overnight-clashes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/7959","title":{"rendered":"Hong Kong Airport Reopens after Overnight Clashes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"story-body__introduction\">Hong Kong airport has resumed operations after a night of chaos which saw protesters clash with riot police, rescheduling hundreds of flights that had been disrupted over the past two days as protesters clashed with riot police in a deepening crisis in the Chinese-controlled city.<\/p>\n<p>Reports say that aviation authorities have obtained a court order to remove protesters from the terminal, setting up a possible showdown with demonstrators later in the day.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of flights were cancelled on Tuesday after protesters flooded the terminal buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Police condemned violent acts by protesters overnight and said on Wednesday a large group had &#8220;harassed and assaulted a visitor and a journalist&#8221;.
