{"id":7585,"date":"2019-08-04T15:59:39","date_gmt":"2019-08-04T10:59:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=7585"},"modified":"2019-08-04T16:00:52","modified_gmt":"2019-08-04T11:00:52","slug":"japan-to-remove-south-korea-from-favoured-trade-list","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/7585","title":{"rendered":"Japan to Remove South Korea from Favoured Trade List"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Japan&#8217;s cabinet approved a plan to remove South Korea from a list of countries that enjoy minimum export controls, a move likely to escalate tensions fueled by a dispute over compensation for wartime forced labourers.<\/p>\n<p>The decision to drop South Korea from the &#8220;white list,&#8221;\u00a0 a step that has been protested fiercely by Seoul, comes a month after Japan tightened curbs on exports to South Korea of three hi-tech materials needed to make memory chips and display panels.<\/p>\n<p>The decision would take effect from Aug. 28, Industry Minister Hiroshige Seko told a briefing.
