An Indian teenager who accused a senior politician of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Kuldeep Singh Sengar of raping her in 2017, is fighting for her life after being critically injured in a crash.<\/p>\n

The accident killed girl’s two aunts.One of the aunts killed was a witness in the rape case, raising suspicions of foul play.<\/p>\n

Police official said, the 19-year-old woman and her lawyer were in a hospital battling for their lives after a truck hit the car in which they were travelling on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Relatives of the victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, said the crash was a deliberate attempt to kill her so the rape case does not go to trial.<\/p>\n

They say the girl’s security officers informed Sengar and his associates about her travel plans. None of the security officers had accompanied her on the trip but they deny involvement.<\/p>\n

Police said they had arrested the truck driver and were investigating the claims.<\/p>\n
