{"id":6977,"date":"2019-07-22T16:23:11","date_gmt":"2019-07-22T11:23:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=6977"},"modified":"2019-07-22T16:23:11","modified_gmt":"2019-07-22T11:23:11","slug":"india-launches-chandrayaan-2-moon-mission","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/6977","title":{"rendered":"India Launches Chandrayaan-2 Moon Mission"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>India is on its way to the moon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"story-body__introduction\">India has successfully launched its second lunar mission a week after it halted the scheduled blast-off due to a technical snag.<\/p>\n<p>Chandrayaan-2 was launched at 14:43 local time (09:13 GMT) on Monday from the Sriharikota space station.The 142-feet-tall rocket rose on a funnel of fire, ripping through the air perfectly straight and fast, heading for the south pole of the moon.<\/p>\n<p>The spacecraft has entered the Earth&#8217;s orbit, where it will stay for 23 days before it begins a series of manoeuvres that will take it into lunar orbit.<\/p>\n<p>For the first time in India&#8217;s space history, an interplanetary expedition is being led by two women &#8211; Muthaya Vanitha, the project director, and Ritu Karidhal, the mission director.<\/p>\n<p>It is the most complex mission ever attempted by India&#8217;s space agency.
