The US President has suggested Google might be working treasonously with China and claimed he would look into the matter.<\/p>\n

Donald Trump made announcement after billionaire Peter Thiel accused the search giant of committing treason.<\/p>\n

Trump tweeted that Thiel is a \u201cgreat and brilliant guy who knows this subject better than anyone! The Trump Administration will take a look!\u201d<\/p>\n

It follows a speech given by Peter Thiel,who donated over $1.25 million to Trump\u2019s 2016 presidential campaign , in which the billionaire tech investor said that Google\u2019s work with the Chinese government should be investigated by the CIA and the FBI.<\/p>\n

MR Thiel also questioned why Google\u00a0had made “the seemingly treasonous decision to work with the Chinese military” but not that of the US.<\/p>\n

According to a report, Thiel said Google was \u201cengaged in the seemingly treasonous decision to work with the Chinese military and not with the US military.”<\/p>\n

However, Google has denied such ties. But the tech firm has yet to respond to the President’s intervention.<\/p>\n

In a tweet, Donald Trump described Mr Thiel as a “great and brilliant guy who knows this subject better than anyone”.<\/p>\n
