DALLAS: Pakistan\u2019s Ambassador to US Rizwan Saeed Sheikh emphasized that establishing ties between Pakistan and the United States in the technology sector is not merely an option, but an inevitable necessity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He was addressing “Pak-US Tech Connect 2026” event held in Dallas.<\/p>\n

The event was organized with the support of the U.S. Consulate General in Houston, in collaboration with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) and OPEN Global. Several prominent IT companies including Ibix, RB Soft, EduAI, Nextbridge, and Emumba showcased their services and products to the American business community.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh thanked the participants and CEO of PSEB Faisal Jaidi. He noted that this is the third edition of the event series, which originated in Silicon Valley three years ago.<\/p>\n

He said that this year\u2019s activities commenced in Silicon Valley on October 16, followed by a series of meetings and workshops in Dallas, Washington D.C., and other U.S. cities, bringing together Pakistani IT firms and American business entities.<\/p>\n

Rizwan Saeed said that the primary objective of this initiative stems from the fact that the United States has become the top priority for IT players, both from Pakistan and globally for their current and future operations.<\/p>\n

The Ambassador said that the pace of technological advancement is supersonic, with the latest artificial intelligence solutions trending toward “super-intelligence”, a reality that has further elevated the importance of the U.S. market.<\/p>\n

He said that approximately 60 to 62 percent of Pakistan\u2019s service exports are directed toward this market.<\/p>\n

The Ambassador shed light on Pakistan\u2019s demographic standing globally over the next ten to twelve years. He noted that 60 to 65 percent of the country\u2019s population is under the age of 30, representing Pakistan\u2019s most valuable asset.<\/p>\n

He said that the synergy between young workforce and the advanced technology, investment, and business opportunities within the U.S. market could form the foundation for robust cooperation between the two nations.<\/p>\n

The Ambassador emphasized that, as one of the world\u2019s five most populous countries, Pakistan and the U.S. share a natural complementarity that extends well beyond the IT sector.<\/p>\n

He said that fostering ties in the technology domain is not merely an option, but an essential step.<\/p>\n

The format for this year\u2019s event differed from the previous two editions. Special emphasis was placed on the participation of the U.S. corporate sector, facilitating meetings between Pakistani companies and American entities interested in future commercial partnerships and joint ventures. Many of the selected companies are already active in the international market.<\/p>\n

The Ambassador clarified that the objective of this new approach goes beyond simple introductions; it aims to showcase what Pakistan can offer within the rapidly evolving global tech market, including in the fields of artificial intelligence and super-intelligence.<\/p>\n

He underscored that his goal is to highlight Pakistan\u2019s technological capabilities on the global stage through this event.<\/p>\n

According to Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, similar events will be organized in the future to provide Pakistani technology startups and major companies with opportunities to engage directly with global investors and American technology leaders.
