NEWYORK: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Foreign Minister of Germany Johann Wadephul on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Both sides felicitated each other on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Germany.<\/p>\n

They reaffirmed the importance of sustained high-level engagement to further strengthen the longstanding and cordial bilateral relationship.<\/p>\n

The two sides discussed ways to further expand bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, economic relations and business-to-business linkages.<\/p>\n

They also agreed to enhance cooperation in defence, education, skilled and people-to-people contacts.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Prime Minister and German Foreign Minister also exchanged views on regional developments.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, the German Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan’s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy.<\/p>\n

They also discussed the situation in Palestine.<\/p>\n

The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed the importance of sustained international efforts towards a ceasefire, humanitarian assistance, and a just and lasting solution based on the two-State solution.<\/p>\n

The two sides agreed to stay in close contact.<\/p>\n

DPM also met with GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed AI Budaiwi on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.<\/p>\n

The GCC Secretary General appreciated Pakistan\u2019s constructive role in promoting regional peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy, and acknowledged Pakistan\u2019s close partnership with the GCC and its member states. DPM\/FM reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-GCC relations and cooperation.<\/p>\n

The two sides discussed enhancing cooperation in trade, investment, energy, security, and other areas of mutual interest, and reaffirmed their commitment to working closely for regional peace, stability, and prosperity.<\/p>\n

Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with the Foreign Minister of the Maldives, Iruthisham Adam, on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.<\/p>\n

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction at the positive momentum in Pakistan-Maldives ties.<\/p>\n

They agreed on the importance of sustained high-level engagement and agreed to further strengthen cooperation in trade, connectivity, economic relations, business-to-business linkages, academia, and defence.<\/p>\n

The two sides also emphasized greater cooperation at the multilateral level, including through the UN, OIC, and SAARC, and reaffirmed their commitment to working closely on issues of mutual interest.<\/p>\n

The Maldivian Foreign Minister underscored the importance her country attaches to further strengthening its longstanding relations with Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea Cho Hyun on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.<\/p>\n

The two sides reviewed bilateral relations and exchanged views on ways to further strengthen cooperation, particularly in trade, investment, and economic relations. DPM\/FM emphasized the importance of greater business-to-business engagement to unlock new opportunities.<\/p>\n

The Korean Foreign Minister appreciated Pakistan\u2019s constructive role in promoting dialogue and diplomacy in addressing regional issues.<\/p>\n

The two Foreign Ministers also underscored the importance of the multilateral system and reaffirmed their commitment to working together at the UN and other multilateral fora on issues of mutual interest.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
