NEWYORK: The Pakistani American Skilled Women Organization in New York began its seventh annual back-to-school program with its weekly food pantry. Hundreds of low-income people were given essential items, while school bags, supplies and toys were also distributed to children.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Social organization of Pakistani American women, PASSO, organized its seventh annual back-to-school program with a weekly food pantry outside its office on Coney Island Avenue, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

A large number of men and women from low-income families visited the food pantry who were provided daily necessities, including fresh fruits and vegetables, without any discrimination of color or race.<\/p>\n

Founder of Pakistani American Skilled Women Organization Atiya Shahnaz said that we want our new generation to be educated as well as on the path of helping the people who are in need.<\/p>\n

The food pantry and back-to-school campaign were well-organized so that the participants did not face any inconvenience.<\/p>\n

PASWO President Shaheen Khokhar, team members and volunteers all contributed their part. They said that for the past six to seven years, it has always been our effort that not only one community but all those who need our help should benefit from here.<\/p>\n

Students were also not left behind in the back-to-school program, actively participating in the distribution of school bags, supplies and toys. On this occasion, cakes were also served to the children.<\/p>\n
