NEWYORK: American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee Youth Wing launched its third scholarship program to provide better opportunities to Pakistani-American students in the field of education.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The APPAC Youth Wing scholarship conference was organized at a local restaurant in New York, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran.<\/p>\n

The scholarship conference was moderated by APPAC Youth Wing President Ali Malik, who introduced all the guests and welcomed them.<\/p>\n

Addressing the participants, Ali Malik presented the work of the Youth Wing, including various activities.<\/p>\n

The ceremony was attended by APPAC Chairman Dr. Ijaz Ahmed, President Pervez Iqbal, Youth Wing Arsal Ijaz, prominent personalities of the Pakistani American community and a large number of students.<\/p>\n

Addressing the participants, Dr. Pervaiz Iqbal said that he is very happy to know that the youth are working beyond our expectations.<\/p>\n

Addressing the participants, the special guest and State Senator John Lowe congratulated the students who received the scholarship and called it a source of honor for him to participate in the ceremony. He said that the world is changing rapidly, the youth have to determine what the future will be like.<\/p>\n

Suffolk County Chief Technology Officer Raja Hassan and NYPD Muslim Officers Society President Deputy Inspector Waheed Akhtar also attended the ceremony as special guests.<\/p>\n

The speakers addressed the youth and said that the position they have today is the result of the sacrifices of their parents.<\/p>\n

Member of the National Board of Directors of APPAC and in-charge of the Youth Wing Dr. Sadia Tahir and others also expressed their views at the scholarship conference.<\/p>\n

They said that students can apply for the Youth Wing annual scholarships program without any discrimination of color or race. They said that if students and youth are provided with positive opportunities, they can bring great improvement in the society.<\/p>\n

Later, APPAC Youth Wing President Ali Malik, Areesa Ijaz and other Youth Wing members gave scholarship awards to ten successful students.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
