NEWYORK: Chief Operating Officer of ARY Digital Network in the US Asif Jamal organized a reception in honor of Rai Bilal Akram Bhatti, a 19th generation descendant of Rai Bhular Bhatti, a contemporary and disciple of Guru Nanak Dev, who donated half of his land to Baba Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A large number of Pakistani American and Sikh communities attended the reception held at a private restaurant in New York on Rai Bilal Akram Bhatti\u2019s arrival in the US to highlight the five-century-old tradition of Sikh-Muslim harmony.<\/p>\n

The host of the event and Chief Operating Officer of ARY Digital Network in the US Asif Jamal said that Rai Akram Bhatti\u2019s ancestors and family have played a key role in promoting love and brotherhood between Muslims and Sikhs.<\/p>\n

Rai Bilal Bhatti shed light on the five-hundred-year history, heritage and his family\u2019s unique connection with Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji.<\/p>\n

He invited the Sikh community living in the US to visit Nankana Sahib, saying that the Sikh community should connect its new generation with Sikhism.<\/p>\n

Business and social figures of the Pakistani American community, Nick Saleem, Adnan Bukhari, Saeed Hassan and others welcomed Rai Bilal Bhatti. The speakers said that Rai Bilal Bhatti\u2019s family has been carrying forward the proud tradition of Sikh-Muslim friendship, mutual respect and service for five centuries, and we should all be proud of this.<\/p>\n

In this special session, the participants were made aware of the importance of this historical heritage and interfaith harmony. Prominent figures of the Sikh community participating in the ceremony invited Rai Bilal Akram Bhatti to participate in their events to be held this week.<\/p>\n
