NEWYORK: ICNA Relief has announced its Back to School program for the current school year in the United States. Under the project, school bags will be distributed to fifty thousand school students across the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

ICNA Relief USA\u2019s North-East Regional Director Arshad Jamal announced its annual Back to School program for the year 2026 at a press conference held in New York.<\/p>\n

He said that the Back to School program started in New York, which over time spread to different states and more than a hundred cities in the United States. Over the past 15 years, more than 1 million school bags have been distributed.<\/p>\n

ICNA Relief New York\u2019s Back to School Leader Aqsa Khattak, volunteers Farhad and media coordinator Moawiz Siddiqui were also present during the press conference.<\/p>\n

Arshad Jamal further said that in the current era of inflation, buying school supplies for children has become a big financial burden for many families.<\/p>\n

He said that the aim of the Back to School program is not only to distribute school bags but also to provide confidence and encouragement to the children at the beginning of the academic year, so that they can start their educational journey in a better way with their fellow children.<\/p>\n

Leader of the New York\u2019s Back to School program Aqsa Khattak said that more than 6,500 school bags are being distributed in New York through 40 different programs.<\/p>\n

According to AQSA, major mega events will be held across the United States on August 1, including New York, in which school bags will be distributed to children and other activities will also be organized.<\/p>\n

New York’s lead volunteer Farhad and other volunteers also expressed their views. They said that they were happy to be a part of the Back to School program. They said that whenever the community needs it, women volunteers actively play their role.<\/p>\n

ICNA Relief leaders said that some of the volunteers participating in the program have been given special responsibilities and have also been included as ambassadors, who will play their role in planning, coordinating and successfully organizing the program at the local level.<\/p>\n
