{"id":39958,"date":"2026-03-21T17:49:57","date_gmt":"2026-03-21T17:49:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/?p=39958"},"modified":"2026-03-21T17:49:57","modified_gmt":"2026-03-21T17:49:57","slug":"fire-destroy-private-restaurant-shops-at-coney-island-avenue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/39958","title":{"rendered":"Fire destroy private restaurant, shops at Coney Island Avenue"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>NEWYORK: A fire broke out at top roof of private restaurant in Coney Island Avenue which burnt a private restaurant and several shops.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.<\/p>\n<p>According to witnesses , a fire broke out on the roof of the Sweetness Restaurant on Avenue H on Coney Island Avenue, also known as Little Pakistan, in Brooklyn, during construction work, which quickly engulfed the entire restaurant and then the surrounding shops.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-39959\" src=\"http:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-03-21-at-10.18.33-PM-1-300x170.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"170\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-03-21-at-10.18.33-PM-1-300x170.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-03-21-at-10.18.33-PM-1-768x435.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2026-03-21-at-10.18.33-PM-1.jpeg 848w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The fire spread so quickly that no one had a chance to control it, and within minutes, eight shops belonging to small businesses were destroyed by the fire.<\/p>\n<p>New York City Police and Fire Department vehicles reached the scene after reporting of fire.<\/p>\n<p>63 units of the Fire Department, 192 fire and EMS personnel participated in the firefighting activities.<\/p>\n<p>No casualty in the fire incident has been reported.\u00a0 All roads of four sides of Coney Island Avenue were completely closed during the rescue operations.<\/p>\n<p>An inquiry has been launched to determine the final causes of the fire and to estimate the losses to businesses.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEWYORK: A fire broke out at top roof of private restaurant in Coney Island Avenue which burnt a private restaurant and several shops.
