{"id":38798,"date":"2025-11-15T15:16:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-15T15:16:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/?p=38798"},"modified":"2025-11-15T15:16:00","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T15:16:00","slug":"king-of-jordan-arrives-in-islamabad-on-two-day-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/38798","title":{"rendered":"King of Jordan arrives in Islamabad on two-day visit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISLAMABAD:King of Jordan Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein arrived in Islamabad on a two-day state visit to Pakistan.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is the first official visit by a Jordanian monarch in twenty-one years.<\/p>\n<p>The King of Jordan is undertaking visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif.<\/p>\n<p>President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif received the King at Nur Khan Airbase.<\/p>\n<p>Members of Federal Cabinet including Musaddiq Malik and Wajiha Qamar, First Lady Bibi Aseefa Bhutto Zardari and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari were also present on the occasion.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing his views on the occasion, the President said the King&#8217;s visit would give Pakistan-Jordan relations a new strategic dimension. He said ties between two countries are built on historical brotherhood, mutual trust and shared values.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, as the King&#8217;s aircraft entered Pakistani airspace, a formation of Pakistan Air Force JF-17 Thunder aircraft provided a protective escort and accompanied the royal flight to Islamabad.<\/p>\n<p>During his visit, King Abdullah II will hold meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and the Prime Minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif.<\/p>\n<p>During the meetings, complete range of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries will be discussed.<\/p>\n<p>A special investiture ceremony to confer the highest civilian award upon King Abdullah II will also take place at the Aiwan-e-Sadr.<\/p>\n<p>King Abdullah II&#8217;s visit to Pakistan reflects the long-standing brotherly relations between Pakistan and Jordan.
