CHICAGO:The Infection Prevention and Control Foundation organized its annual Gala in a grand manner at Doubletree Oak Brook in Chicago which was attended by large number of community leaders and medical experts.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The theme of the event was \u201cPrevention is Better Than Cure,\u201d which aimed to promote preventive medicine, public health awareness, and initiatives to provide better health opportunities to the community.<\/p>\n

The event was hosted by renowned personality Salman Azam, while Dr. Shafi\u2019s daughter Shahnoor Shafi performed as the co-host. Dr. Sameer Shafi, founder of the IPAC Foundation, said in his address that our vision is not only to cure diseases, but to ensure hope and healthy lives through prevention.<\/p>\n

He said that this gala is the beginning of a movement aimed at bringing health facilities and awareness to every community. He added that diseases like Hepatitis B and C are a major challenge in underdeveloped countries, especially Pakistan, and widespread screening and preventive measures are underway to control them.<\/p>\n

The gala highlighted IPAC\u2019s flagship program, the Volunteer Force Against Hepatitis Transmission.<\/p>\n

Under this program, more than 4,500 volunteers and students from 49 medical and dental colleges in Pakistan are active against the disease, screening for Hepatitis B and C, blood donations, and disaster relief work is active in major cities, and training workshops are also underway to prepare future health leaders.<\/p>\n

Participants described this initiative as a bright step for the future of public health in Pakistan. Several other speakers came on stage and spoke about the IPAC Foundation, including Dr. Samina Batool, Dr. Reem Shafi, Dr. Nuzhat Chalisa, and Azhar Hameed.<\/p>\n

About 8 million dollars were raised at IPAC\u2019s Gala under the leadership of Umair Siraj and Aamir Chalisa, which will play a significant role in further expanding the services of the foundation.<\/p>\n

The foundation continues to serve the community through health awareness, disease prevention, and sustainable medical programs, with the goal of creating a society where every individual has equal opportunities for a healthy life.<\/p>\n
