NEWYORK: Pakistani American organized an event at Holy Trinity Church in New York to celebrate Pakistan’s Independence Day and pay tribute to the nation’s great heroes. The speakers said that all citizens in Pakistan are living with complete freedom.<\/strong><\/p>\n

An event titled \u201cThe Legacy of Pakistan\u2019s heroes\u201d was organized at Holy Trinity Church in New York by the Council of Pak-US Relations, Overseas Pakistani Global Foundation, and Pakistan Christian Association of USA to pay tribute to Independence Day and the great sons of the nation, which began with the blessed words of the Almighty.<\/p>\n

Founder of the Council of Pakistan US Relations Zeeshan Hamid moderated the event, introduced and welcomed the guests. He referred to the speech of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, and said that all citizens are equal and have equal rights.<\/p>\n

A large number of people from different schools of thought, including political, social and business circles, attended the event.<\/p>\n

OPGF Chairman Zaheer Mehr, Christian Association\u2019s James Saprin, William Shahzad and others said that freedom is a blessing that has no substitute and it is the responsibility of Pakistanis living abroad to make their country shine.<\/p>\n

Women also expressed their views on this occasion. The speakers said that sister of Quaid-e-Azam Fatima Jinnah, by being a partner in the entire struggle of the Pakistan Movement with the Quaid-e-Azam, gave the message that women can play a key role by standing side by side with men.<\/p>\n

The speakers said that all units have played a key role in the construction and development of Pakistan, we should always remember our heroes.<\/p>\n
