New York: The Consulate General of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the United Nations, held a solemn Flag Hoisting Ceremony today to observe Youm-e-Tashakkur (Day of Gratitude), marking Pakistan\u2019s successful and resolute response to recent Indian aggression.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The ceremony was attended by officers and officials from both Missions. In his remarks, Consul General of Pakistan, Mr. Aamer Ahmed Atozai, highlighted the exemplary professionalism, precision, and restraint demonstrated by Pakistan\u2019s Armed Forces during Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsous, which effectively repelled Indian aggression and resulted in the downing of multiple aircraft, including Rafale jets. He emphasized that Pakistan\u2019s response was grounded in the principles of responsible state behavior\u2014deliberately avoiding civilian casualties while conveying a clear message of deterrence and national resolve.<\/p>\n

\"\"The Consul General reaffirmed the Government of Pakistan\u2019s principled position: that while Pakistan remains committed to peace, it will never compromise on its sovereignty and territorial integrity. Ambassador Asim Iftikhar, Pakistan\u2019s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, also addressed the gathering and echoed these sentiments. He lauded the professionalism and restraint of Pakistan\u2019s defense forces and reiterated Pakistan\u2019s unwavering commitment to regional peace and stability, firmly rooted in the implementation of relevant UN Security Council resolutions on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.<\/p>\n
