HUSTON: House of representatives of Texas state presented a resolution recognizing as Mach 23 rd as Pakistan day at the floor of the house in presence of consul general of Pakistan in Houston.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The resolution also recognizes the social, religious, linguistic and economic contribution of Pakistani American community to the state of Texas.<\/p>\n

The resolution, moved by the state representative Dr. Suleman Lalani, acknowledge that Pakistani Texsan through their professional work, cultural background and values of peace and prosperity have bolstered the success of Texas.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the consul general Mohammad Aftab Chauhdry also held meeting with speaker of the house Dustin Burrows at his chamber and thanked him for his role in passing the resolution.<\/p>\n

The consul general extended an invitation to the speaker of the house to visit Pakistan along with delegation of state representatives and businessmen from Texas.<\/p>\n

The speaker of the house also attended the iftar dinner hosted by the state representative Dr. Suleman Lalani in the honor of the members of the both houses of the legislature and local dignitaries at the Texas capitol.<\/p>\n
