{"id":34914,"date":"2024-11-05T17:09:19","date_gmt":"2024-11-05T17:09:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/?p=34914"},"modified":"2024-11-05T17:09:19","modified_gmt":"2024-11-05T17:09:19","slug":"iranians-fm-calls-on-the-pakistani-pm-shahbaz-sharif","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/34914","title":{"rendered":"Iranian\u2019s FM calls on the Pakistani PM Shahbaz Sharif"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ISLAMABAD: Iranian foreign minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi called on Pakistan\u2019s prime minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Welcoming Mr. Araghchi on his first official visit to Pakistan as foreign minister of Iran, prime minister conveyed his sincere regards and good wishes to Iran\u2019s supreme leader Ayatollah Khamenei and President Massoud Pezeshkian.<\/p>\n<p>He reaffirmed Pakistan\u2019s desire to further strengthen its brotherly relationship with Iran through maintaining regular high-level exchanges, as well as enhancing mutually advantageous cooperation across all spheres of shared interest.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the worrying situation in the Middle East region came under discussion.<\/p>\n<p>While reaffirming Pakistan\u2019s unequivocal support to the Palestinian people in their just struggle for self-determination and statehood, the prime minister reiterated strong condemnation of and grave concern over the Israel\u2019s ongoing genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people.<\/p>\n<p>The prime minister also emphasized upon the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, provision of unhindered humanitarian assistance and, above all, grant of the inalienable right to self-determination to the Palestinian people, as guaranteed to them by the relevant resolutions of the UN, as well as OIC.<\/p>\n<p>Shahbaz Sharif also reiterated strong condemnation of Israel\u2019s attack against Iran on October 26, 2024, while reaffirming support for Iran\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n<p>The Iranian foreign minister thanked the prime minister about Pakistan\u2019s principled position and briefed him on Iran\u2019s perspective regarding the situation in the region.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ISLAMABAD: Iranian foreign minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi called on Pakistan\u2019s prime minister Mohammad Shehbaz Sharif.
