NEWYORK: The New York Police Department and the Community Affairs Bureau have started an annual youth cricket league.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The annual youth cricket league has been held in the summer school holidays to keep the students engaged in extracurricular activities during their vacations.<\/p>\n

New York Police Department and Community Affairs Bureau have launched the annual NYPD Youth Cricket League at Baisely Pond Park in Queens.<\/p>\n

Community Affairs Bureau Deputy Commissioner Mark Stewart inaugurated the league by playing short in the first match.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the league, Imam Tahir offered a prayer. The national anthem of America was also played followed by the NYPD squad\u2019s salute.<\/p>\n

In this league, the players of the New York Police Department’s cricket team are performing the responsibilities of umpiring.<\/p>\n
