New York: The American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee (APPAC) hosted a \u2018Meet and Greet\u2019 with Edward Romaine who is the Republican candidate for Long Island’s Suffolk County’s Executive slot.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event held in APPAC Chairman Dr. Ijaz Ahmed’s residence in New York, was attended by prominent community figures.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Nayar Imam and Raja Hassan Ahmad introduced the guest and invited to address the audience.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

On this occasion, Edward Romaine presented his detailed introduction to the participants that he was a teacher before entering politics and never compromised on principles since entering politics.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He said:\u00a0 \u201cMy goal is not only to win the election, rather to improve governance in the county.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The participants of Meet and Greet asked questions on many important topics and put forward some recommendations.<\/p>\n

In response to questions from the audience, Edward Romaine offered that our county can provide internships to talented young men and women who want to learn and do something good.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, APPAC Board members and others presented various suggestions for improving the administrative affairs of the county.<\/p>\n

He said that the number of Muslims in Nassau and Suffolk Counties is increasing rapidly, so they should also get representation.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

In response to a question, Republican candidate Edward Romine said: “we want a policing system that understands the importance of all communities, their religious worship, culture, festivals and traditions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
