His contemporaries were Saadat Hasan Manto, Ismat Chughtai, Krishan Chandra, and Ghulam Abbas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ahmad_Nadeem_Qasmi.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-21032\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ahmad_Nadeem_Qasmi-207x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"207\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ahmad_Nadeem_Qasmi-207x300.jpg 207w, https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Ahmad_Nadeem_Qasmi.jpg 568w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 207px) 100vw, 207px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Qasmi was also a known figure across the border in Bollywood. Poet and lyricist Gulzar thought of Qasmi as his teacher and wrote a poem dedicated to him.<\/p>\n<p>Ahmad Nadeem Qasmi passed away on July 10, 2006, at the age of 90 in Lahore.
