{"id":20793,"date":"2021-06-23T20:27:56","date_gmt":"2021-06-23T15:27:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=20793"},"modified":"2021-06-23T20:27:56","modified_gmt":"2021-06-23T15:27:56","slug":"russian-forces-fire-warning-shots-at-british-destroyer-in-its-waters","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/20793","title":{"rendered":"Russian forces fire warning shots at British destroyer in its waters."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Moscow,<\/p>\n<p>A Russian military ship fired warning shots at a British Royal Navy destroyer after it entered Russian waters in the Black Sea, and a Russian jet dropped bombs in its path as a warning, according to Interfax, Russia\u2019s defense ministry as saying on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>The British Ministry of Defense did not immediately respond to comment.<\/p>\n<p>The British HMS Defender left Russian waters soon after the incident, having ventured as much as 3 kilometers (2 miles) inside, the Russian ministry said, adding that the confrontation took place near Cape Fiolent, a landmark on the coast of Crimea.<\/p>\n<p>Russia annexed the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine in 2014 in a move condemned by the West which still considers it Ukrainian territory.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe destroyer had been warned that weapons would be used if it trespasses the border of the Russian Federation.
