Coney Island Avenue was named to Little Pakistan, after this, head of the Council of People’s Organizations-COPO, (a Pakistani community organization) Muhammad Rizvi, held a joint press conference outside his office with Consul General Ayesha Ali, New York City Public Advocate Jumaane D. Williams and US officials.<\/p>\n

Muhammad Rizvi chairman COPO, said in a press conference that “Coney Island Avenue has a new identity and we are proud of that identity”.<\/p>\n

Public Advocate Jumaane D. Williams, US officials and Lieutenant Zaigham Abbas from the New York Police Department was also addressed the press conference<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>and said that naming Coney Island Avenue to Little Pakistan was a gift to Pakistani Americans.<\/p>\n

Social and business personalities of the Pakistani community were also present on the occasion.
