The officers shouted at Wallace to put down the knife before the shooting, but no knife is visible in the recording.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 1170px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-17411-1\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Philadelphia-police.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Philadelphia-police.mp4\">https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/10\/Philadelphia-police.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;I have watched the video of this tragic incident and it presents difficult questions that must be answered,&#8221; Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Police Commissioner Danielle Outlaw said she recognizes the video raises many questions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Residents have my assurance that those questions will be fully addressed by the investigation,&#8221; said Outlaw. &#8220;While at the scene this evening, I heard and felt the anger of the community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Wallace&#8217;s death promoted protests through the city with some marred by violence and looting.
