ISLAMABAD\/KARACHI\/LAHORE<\/strong><\/p>\n

Youm-e-Ashur observed on Saturday across the country peacefully\u00a0 as mourners paid tributes to the supreme sacrifices offered by Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his 72 die hard companions against a tyrant ruler in Karbala (Iraq).<\/p>\n

The Ashura processions taken out from different localities of Islamabad culminated peacefully after passing through their traditional routes.<\/p>\n

According to the spokesman of Islamabad Police, strict security arrangements were made for various processions in the areas of Sabzi Mandi,Aabpara, Shalimar, Golra (Shah Allah Dita), Tarnol, Sihala and Secretariat.<\/p>\n

Islamabad police including Rangers and personnel of other law enforcement agencies performed patrolling and security duties and all processions were completely cordoned off through heavy deployment.<\/p>\n

In Rawalpindi, the main mourning procession has been taken out from Imambargah Colonel Maqbool Hussain which terminated at Imambargah Qadeemi.<\/p>\n

Lahore<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Lahore, the main procession was taken out from the Nisar Havali and terminated at Karbala Gamay Shah after passing through its traditional routes.<\/p>\n

Thousands of Azadaar, including children and women, took part in the processions.<\/p>\n

Karachi<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Karachi, the main Youm-e-Ashur mourning procession of Alam, Tazia and Zuljinnah was taken out from Nishtar Park. The participants of the main procession gathered at Nishtar Park, where Allama Syed Shahenshah Hussain Naqvi addressed them during Majlis-e-Aza, recalling the sacrifices of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA). Mourning procession culminated at Hussainia Iranian in Kharadar, after passing through its traditional routes.<\/p>\n

The volunteers of various social welfare organisations put up medical camps and Sabeels to facilitate the participants of the procession. Ambulance services and first aid camps were also set up by various organisations to facilitate the mourners.<\/p>\n

The snipers were also deployed atop on the buildings along the route of the procession. The aerial surveillance of the procession was also carried out on the occasion.<\/p>\n

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa<\/strong><\/p>\n

Youm-e-Ashur was peacefully observed in Khyber Pakthunkhwa as scores of Tazyiya, Alam and Zuljinah processions were taken out from the Imambargh Syed Alam Shah in Koocha Bazaar, which after passing through Qissa Khwani and other traditional routes ended\u00a0 at the same venue.<\/p>\n

The mourning processions in Hangu, Kohat, DI Khan, Manshera, Lakki Marwat, Tank and other districts passed through their traditional routes and culminated at their respective Imambargahs peacefully amid strict security.<\/p>\n

In Peshawar, the main Ashura procession was taken out from Imambargah Alamdar Koacha Risaladar that was later joined by 11 other small and big processions ending at their specified place after marching through traditional routes.<\/p>\n

During mourning processions and Majalis, scholars paid homage to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.<\/p>\n

Law-enforcement agencies established command and control posts at sensitive places to maintain law and order while more than 7,000 policemen and over 1000 Frontier Constabulary troops were deployed in sensitive areas including Koochi Bazaar, Kohati, Qissa Khwani, Kabari Bazaar, Jehangirpura, Sarki Gate, Hashtnagri and Gulbahar to guard the processions.<\/p>\n

Medical camps were established to provide first aid to mourners, while hospital staff remained alert round the clock for any emergency situation. Food, milk and water were offered to procession mourners.<\/p>\n

Similarly, in Muzaffarabad, main Taazia, Alam and Zuljinah processions were taken out from Markazi Imambargah Pir Ilam Shah Bukhari and terminated at the same place after passing through their traditional routes.<\/p>\n

Alam, Zul’jinnah and Tazia processions were brought out from Imambargahs which culminated at their fixed spots after marching through their tradition routes in all ten district headquarters of AJK including Mirpur, Haveili, Hattiyan,\u00a0 Kotli, Bhimbher, Bagh, Sudahnoti, Rawalakot and Neelam valley besides all other major and small towns across the liberated territory.<\/p>\n

Quetta<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Quetta, the main procession was taken out from Alamdar Road.+<\/p>\n
