{"id":15931,"date":"2020-07-27T11:36:05","date_gmt":"2020-07-27T06:36:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=15931"},"modified":"2020-07-27T11:36:05","modified_gmt":"2020-07-27T06:36:05","slug":"pakistan-says-shot-down-intruding-indian-quadcopter","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/15931","title":{"rendered":"Pakistan says shot down \u2018intruding\u2019 Indian quadcopter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>KARACHI, Pakistan<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Pakistani army on Sunday said it had shot down another Indian quardcopter that &#8220;intruded&#8221; into its airspace along the disputed Kashmir border.<\/p>\n<p>It said that the &#8220;spying quardcopter&#8221; was shot down in Pandu sector after it &#8220;intruded 200 meters inside Pakistan\u2019s territory&#8221; along the so-called Line of Control, across which the two armies have faced off for decades.<\/p>\n<p>This was the 10th quardcopter shot down by Pakistan&#8217;s army this year, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the armed forces\u2019 media wing.<\/p>\n<p>Jammu and Kashmir is held by India and Pakistan in parts, and claimed by both in full. A small sliver is also held by China.<\/p>\n<p>Since they were partitioned in 1947, the two countries have fought three wars\u00a0 in 1948, 1965 and 1971\u00a0 two of them over Kashmir.<\/p>\n<p>Some Kashmiri groups in Jammu and Kashmir have been fighting against Indian rule for independence, or unification with the neighboring Pakistan.<\/p>\n<p>According to several human rights organizations, thousands of people have been killed and tortured in the conflict that flared up in 1989.<\/p>\n<p>Last August the Indian government revoked Article 370 and other related provisions from its Constitution, scrapping the special status of country\u2019s only Muslim-majority state.
