{"id":15650,"date":"2020-07-11T11:10:11","date_gmt":"2020-07-11T06:10:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=15650"},"modified":"2020-07-11T11:10:11","modified_gmt":"2020-07-11T06:10:11","slug":"oscar-winning-italian-composer-ennio-morricone-dies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/15650","title":{"rendered":"Oscar-winning Italian composer Ennio Morricone dies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ANKARA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ennio Morricone, the prolific Italian composer for the movies, died at 91 on Monday, his lawyer announced.<\/p>\n<p>A native and lifelong resident of Rome, Morricone won an Oscar for his work in American director Quentin Tarantino\u2019s The Hateful Eight (2015), and was also nominated for his original scores for Terrence Malick\u2019s Days of Heaven (1978), Roland Joffe\u2019s The Mission (1986), Brian De Palma\u2019s The Untouchables (1987), Barry Levinson\u2019s Bugsy (1991) and Giuseppe Tornatore\u2019s Malena (2000).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Maestro&#8221; received an honorary Oscar in 2007, presented by Clint Eastwood, and collected 11 David di Donatello Awards, Italy\u2019s highest film honors.<\/p>\n<p>Morricone\u2019s sounds enriched legendary Italian director Sergio Leone\u2019s A Fistful of Dollars (1964), For a Few Dollars More (1965), The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966) \u2014 those three starred Eastwood \u2014 Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) and Duck, You Sucker (1971).<\/p>\n<p>Morricone was born on Nov. 10, 1928, in Rome. His father, Mario, was a trumpet player, and trumpet was the first instrument Morricone played.
