BAKU<\/strong><\/p>\n

Coronavirus cases and fatalities continued to rise in Eurasian and Central Asian countries on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Azerbaijan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Azerbaijan reported 521 more COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, raising its overall count to 15,890.<\/p>\n

The death toll in the country stands at 193, recoveries have reached 8,719, and 6,978 patients are still under treatment.<\/p>\n

More than 461,800 tests have been conducted in the country so far.<\/p>\n

Belarus<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Belarus, 382 more infections pushed the total up to 61,095.<\/p>\n

The number of recoveries reached 44,126 and the death toll stands at 377.<\/p>\n

Nearly 960,000 tests have been conducted in the country so far.<\/p>\n

Moldova<\/strong><\/p>\n

Moldova reported 304 more COVID-19 cases, bringing the total to 16,080.<\/p>\n

Six more patients died over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 521.<\/p>\n

A total of 8,963 people have recovered in the country to date.<\/p>\n

Tajikistan<\/strong><\/p>\n

At least 52 more cases in Tajikistan pushed the country\u2019s overall count to 5,799, including 4,391 recoveries, and 52 fatalities.<\/p>\n

A total of 1,356 patients are still under treatment in the country, according to the Health Ministry.<\/p>\n

Uzbekistan<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Uzbekistan, 61 more people tested positive for COVID-19, raising the total to 7,551, including 20 deaths and 5,063 recoveries.<\/p>\n

A total of 2,468 patients remain under treatment in the Central Asian country, which has carried out over a million tests so far.<\/p>\n

Kazakhstan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kazakhstan\u2019s case count stands at 20,319, including 158 fatalities.<\/p>\n

Recoveries in the country went up by by 41 to 12,589.<\/p>\n

Kyrgyzstan<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Kyrgyzstan, 4,513 people have tested positive for COVID-19 so far.<\/p>\n

A total of 46 patients have died in the country, while 2,212 have recovered.<\/p>\n

Worldwide<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over 495,500 people have died in at least 188 countries and regions since the virus emerged in China last December.<\/p>\n

More than 9.86 million cases have been reported worldwide, with recoveries exceeding 4.98 million, according to figures compiled by the US\u2019 Johns Hopkins University.<\/p>\n
